MANILA, Philippines—Tryouts for the national volleyball staff are set for the top of this month because the Philippine National Volleyball Federation despatched out invitations to athletes who might swimsuit up for the indoor and seaside teams.

The tryouts for the women and men’s teams for the indoor competitors will happen on April 28 and 29 at Subic Gym whereas the trials for the seaside volleyball squads might be on April 30 at Subic Tennis Courts.

Both tryouts might be held in a bubble setting.

“The PNVF is currently prioritizing its elite/high-performance initiatives through the National Team Commission,” mentioned PNVF President Ramon “Tats” Suzara. “The national team will be focusing on the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi in December.”

Those who will enter the bubble, from coaches, gamers, organizers, and employees, will bear an RT-PCR take a look at 48 hours earlier than the tryouts with a assured turnaround time of 24 hours.

“These tryouts are needed in order for the athletes to be at their optimal condition prior to key competition events this year,” mentioned Suzara who, together with PNVF Secretary General Donaldo Caringal and Medical Commission head Dr. Jose Raul Canlas, met with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority and Philippine Red Cross to finalize the well being protocols.

National coaches Arthur “Odjie” Mamon (volleyball girls), Dante Alinsunurin (volleyball males), Paul Jan Doloiras (seaside volleyball girls) and Rhovyl Verayo (seaside volleyball males) will supervise the tryouts.
