Super League collapses as Premier League clubs pull out

LONDON – The proposed European Super League collapsed on Tuesday after Premier League clubs withdrew from the deeply divisive undertaking following a livid backlash by followers and threats from soccer authorities.

Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal had been six of the 12 main European clubs to initially signal as much as the breakaway competitors designed to ensure spots every year and billions of {dollars} for its founding members.
